Hadika Zannat Oishee:

Hadika Zannat Oishee holds a BSS and MSS in Economics from the University of Dhaka. For her undergraduate research monograph, titled “Evaluating Students' Attitudes Towards the Consumption of Single-Use Plastic Bags: A Study Conducted Among the Students of the University of Dhaka,” she conducted an empirical study on single-use plastic bag consumption, drawing on behavioural and environmental economics frameworks. The study included econometric analysis using the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) to generate policy-relevant insights.

Hadika previously completed an internship at the Monetary Policy Department of Bangladesh Bank, where she gained exposure to macroeconomic research. During her internship, she worked on a research paper examining the relationship between savings, investment, and economic growth in Bangladesh using time-series econometric analysis. Her research interests include sustainable and inclusive development, environmental and health economics, climate change adaptation, and public policy. She is particularly interested in applied economics and interdisciplinary research addressing governance and development challenges.

Beyond research, Hadika has a broad curiosity about human experiences, ideas, and creative expression. She enjoys philosophical fiction, cinema, painting, and following sports.

She joined CRD in October 2026 as a Research Assistant in the Research and Evaluation Department.
