 ROLE PROFILE OF SENIOR OFFICER-RESEARCH AND EVALUATION (GENDER)

The organization has implemented research initiatives in Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Nepal, the Philippines, India, Ghana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Lesotho, and Sri Lanka, funded by various donor agencies, including the European Commission, USAID, the Embassy of Japan, and UN agencies such as UNDP and UN Women.

CRD also collaborates on international projects in partnership with globally recognized institutions, contributing to cross-border knowledge exchange and evidence-based policy development. These collaborations further enhance CRD’s ability to deliver contextually relevant solutions aligned with global development priorities. CRD is looking for a young, dynamic and hardworking professional for the position of “Senior Officer-Research and Evaluation (Gender)” to support its growing research team.

Position Details

Position: Senior Officer-Research and Evaluation (Gender)

Report To: Deputy Manager- Research & Evaluation/Head of Research & Evaluation

No. of Position: 1

Key Responsibility

1.     Assist in designing and implementing gender-sensitive research tools, framework and methodologies.

2.     Support gender analysis in qualitative and quantitative research projects.

3.     Conduct field visits, interviews, and focus group discussions with gender-specific sensitivity.

4.     Review and analyze data to identify gender disparities and insights.

5.     Contribute to drafting research reports, policy briefs, and other knowledge products with gender-focused findings.

6.     Monitor gender-related components of research projects to ensure compliance with ethical and inclusivity standards.

7.     Work with internal teams to build staff capacity on gender issues and promote a gender-inclusive work environment.

8.     Stay up to date with current trends, literature, and policies related to gender and development.

9.     Support the development of proposals and concept notes with a gender lens.

10.  Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

 

Educational Requirement

·       A Master’s degree in Women’s Studies, Women and Gender Studies, Gender & Development Studies is required.

·       A foreign degree will be considered an added advantage.

 

Experience & Skills Requirement

1.     Minimum of 4-5 years’ research experience 

2.     Proficient in formal and academic English, both written and spoken

3.     Fast and accurate typing skills in both Bengali and English

4.     Strong analytical skills in both quantitative and qualitative data

5.     Experienced in writing research proposals and reports in English

6.     Willing and able to travel extensively to remote areas of Bangladesh and follow the instructions of the designated focal person

7.     Capable of executing plans with clear targets and deadlines

8.     Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

9.     Demonstrates a high level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality

10.  Willing to work beyond regular office hours when required (especially in meeting Deadline)

 

Monthly Salary

 

Negotiable based on experience and qualifications. You are requested to mention your expected salary in the cover letter.
