Projecta Sikder Ponty

Projecta Sikder Ponty holds a Bachelor of Social Science degree in Sociology from Jagannath University (2024) and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Applied Statistics and Data Science at Jahangirnagar University.

Her research interests lie at the intersection of sociology and public health, with a particular focus on social inequality, social stratification, medical sociology, health disparities, social medicine, social epidemiology, and the sociology of health and illness. With a strong emphasis on quantitative research methods, she is especially interested in exploring the correlations between sociocultural factors and health outcomes.

Since October 2025, she has been working as a Research and Evaluation Intern at the Centre for Research and Development (CRD), contributing to evidence-based research initiatives in the field of development and public health.
