101. GESI Analysis and Support to the CALL Consortium for Integrating GESI Actions

GESI Analysis and Support to the CALL Consortium
for Integrating GESI Actions
To build a climate-smart and disaster-resilient Bangladesh, the Embassy of Switzerland has launched the CALL Programme, led by Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation and co-led by Swisscontact, together with a consortium of nine Swiss NGOs and 18 local partners. As part of its commitment, the consortium is ensuring that the programme is gender-responsive and socially inclusive across all components. To support this, the Centre for Research and Development (CRD) has been engaged to carry out a comprehensive GESI (Gender Equality and Social Inclusion) Analysis.
The study combines an extensive desk review with participatory tools such as FGDs, KIIs, IDIs, and SGDs. It will engage consortium partners, implementing partners, and community participants in three climate-affected regions of Bangladesh to identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities to enhance GESI practices. The findings will provide practical recommendations and a common GESI toolkit for all partners—supporting stronger institutional policies, inclusive programme design, and community engagement. This will ensure that the CALL Programme promotes resilience that is inclusive and transformative for all.
