126. Protection Assessment for gender-diverse marginalized communities and sex workers in Cox’s Bazar

CRD has been entrusted by Bandhu Social Welfare Society (Bandhu) to conduct a Protection Assessment for gender-based marginalized communities and sex workers in Cox’s Bazar. Besides this, CRD will also be developing a module on “Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices (KAP)” Change at camp and host communities in Ukhiya, Teknaf, and Cox’s Bazar Sadar. The assignment aims to generate evidence on protection risks, rights awareness, access to essential services, social inclusion, living conditions, and barriers to protection and support services.

Through adoption of participatory convergent mixed-methods approach, CRD will capture diverse experiences and perspectives.  Building on the assessment’s findings, CRD will developing a context-specific KAP Module covering rights awareness, social mainstreaming, soft skills, life skills, and behavior change. The assignment also includes Training of Trainers (ToT), preparation of training materials, dissemination and stakeholder validation workshops, and a final consolidated report. Through this work, CRD is translating evidence into practical learning tools and actionable insights. These resources aim to strengthen inclusive protection programming, service delivery, rights awareness, social inclusion, and positive behavior change for marginalized communities and sex workers in Cox’s Bazar.
