112. Technical Assistance in Conducting RRA for village selection under the Saemaul Plus End Poverty Program (SPEPP) in Bangladesh
BAKELA Corporation (Korea global advisory company) has been contracted by KOICA to support is conducting the Basic Design Study (BDS). KOICA is going to support Government of Bangladesh for rural development through adopting “Saemaul Plus End Poverty Program (SPEPP)” in Bangladesh. For selecting project locations (unions & villages), CRD has been working with Bakela Corporation to conduct RRA (Rapid Rural Appraisal) in 660 villages across four districts, including Cumilla, Feni, Cox’s Bazar, and Bogura.
The study aims to identify villages with strong potential for community-driven development, improved livelihoods, and increased agricultural and non-agricultural income opportunities. The CRD will conduct semi-structured interviews with KIIs and transect walk for RRA. The entire process, including methodology design, village selection, stakeholder engagement, field data collecting, triangulation, and analytical reporting for RRA is being condcuted by a multidisciplinary CRD team.
