107. Evaluation of Community Integration and Stakeholder Satisfaction: SOS Family Houses of Chattogram

SOS Children’s Villages Bangladesh has been conducting the “Community Integration and Stakeholder Satisfaction: SOS Family Houses of Chattogram, a 4-year (2024-2028) long community-based intervention. Simultaneously, the child-focused organization is implementing a global-aligned programme transformation, moving from large village-based care to smaller, community-integrated family units, aiming to improve care quality, encourage innovation, and build strategic partnerships for sustainable child well-being.

CRD was assigned to conduct the evaluation of the project, a three-month assessment starting from 26 October 2025 to 27 January 2026, examining the transition of children from village-based care to community-integrated family settings. The evaluation provided evidence-based insights to inform the future scale-up and improvement of SOS community integration initiatives in Bangladesh.

CRD employed a qualitative, participatory approach, integrating key informant interviews (KIIs), focus group discussions (FGDs), child-friendly participatory tools, observation checklists, document review, and SWOT analysis. Data were triangulated across diverse stakeholders to ensure rigor, inclusivity, and ethical compliance.

A skilled and multidisciplinary team from CRD lead the evaluation.
