International Development Enterprises (iDE) is a nonprofit organization that has been working in Bangladesh since 1983. Their mission is to end poverty through market-based development, focusing on agriculture, sanitation, climate change resilience, and gender equality.

The "Clean Cooking Scale Up (CCSU) Bangladesh" project is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark (DMFA) and administered by the Danida Green Business Partnerships (DGBP) Secretariat. The project aims to strengthen the market for clean energy technologies (CET) through commercial models. It also integrates carbon financing and promotes decent work and economic growth by providing youth with training and opportunities in the clean cooking sector. This project has a significant impact on both the market and the environment, so a Market Study is essential. The study will provide a baseline analysis of the current state of electric cooking in Bangladesh and develop a comprehensive roadmap for scaling up electric cooking technologies.

Centre for Research and Development (CRD) Ltd. has been awarded the contract to conduct the market study. Dr. Md. Mokhlesur Rahman will lead a vibrant team to accomplish this assignment.
