Developing Safeguarding & PSEAH Policy of three (03) Peer Humanitarian Partners (PHP) Association for Alternative Development (AFAD)

AFAD planned  to develop a comprehensive Safeguarding and Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment (PSEAH) Policy for three Peer Humanitarian Partners operating in Kurigram such as Chilmari Distressed Development Foundation, Bakultali Mohila Sangsad, Bhurungamari, & Rural Society Development Association, Rowmari. The assignment aimed to strengthen organizational accountability and promote a zero-tolerance culture toward abuse and exploitation. Moreover, it sought to ensure the protection of children, women, and other vulnerable groups. 

CRD was assigned for this assignment. In this regard, CRD reviewed existing policies and practices, while stakeholder, staff and management consultations, and KIIs will be conducted to identify risks and gaps. Furthermore, context-specific policies aligned with national laws and international humanitarian standards wiere developed and support for staff orientation will be provided for effective implementation. An experienced team comprising relevant experts worked to develop a robust PSEAH and safeguarding policy to create a safe, respectful, and protective environment.
