- Professor Banu was awarded PhD degree on Bangladesh Women’s Movement from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2015. She started her career as a researcher at the Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) in 1989. Her research interests include Feminism and Women’s Movement, Methodological Issues, Gender and Development, Poverty and Livelihoods, Religion, Body, Sexuality and inclusion.
