International Conference on Financial Inclusion in Bangladesh: Gender Perspectives

The conference was organized by Centre for Research and Development (CRD), an independent research organization, based in Bangladesh. This was primarily research finding sharing conference, funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, USA. The conference was attended by key stakeholders, policymakers, academics, and experts from relevant fields from both home and abroad to explore strategies for bridging the gender gap in financial inclusion.

Refreshers training for the enumerators

All field research team members have started their data collection ( both qualitative and quantitative) from different selected clusters. Under this country representative study, we will be reaching out to 3300 HH (approximately 14000 individuals ) and 70 Sectoral/ Policy Experts from 56 Districts of Bangladesh. The study aims to unveil patterns and reasons of gender gap in financial inclusion.

CRD signed a contract with Department of Economics

CRD signed a contract with Department of Economics, University of Dhaka. Under this contract, 7 MSS students (female) of the same Department will receive fellowship from GGiFI Project of CRD.

Training on NVivo

Centre for Research and Development (CRD) organized a Training on NVivo on 26th October, 2022, at the conference room of the Bureau of Economics Research (BER) in University of Dhaka under the project titled ‘Gender Gap in Financial Inclusion (GGiFI).

Workshop on "Gender Responsive Financial Services"

We are happy to share that on January 21, 2023, a workshop on "Gender Responsive Financial Services" was organized at the BIBM auditorium in Dhaka.

Around 40 financial service providers (Bank, MFS & MFI) attended the workshop (on gender responsive financial services).

workshop on finalizing the chapter outline of "GGiFI"

CRD organized a workshop on finalizing the chapter outline of the "Gender Gap in Financial Inclusion in Bangladesh." The workshop took place from 16th to 20th March 2023 at the Greenwich Village Resort Hotel Pvt. Ltd. in Lalitpur, Nepal. 4 core members, 5 consultants, 1 research assistant and project manager along with 2 senior staff of CRD of the study team participated and contributed to the workshop.
