Sanzida Akhter, PhD

Qualitative Researcher- Gender Gap in Financial Inclusion in Bangladesh (GGiFI) Project, Centre for Research and Development (CRD) & Associate Professor, Department of Women & Gender Studies, University of Dhaka.

Dr. Sanzida Akhter served the Department of Women and Gender Studies as a Chairperson from April 2018 to April 2021. Her undergraduate and Master’s degree is from the Department of Sociology of University of Dhaka. She has obtained her PhD in maternal health care seeking behavior from Flinders University, Australia with Australian Leadership Awards. Her research interest includes reproductive and sexual health and rights, adolescent health,  maternal health care, violence against women, gender and development etc. She has published in different national and international journals and works with national and international development partners.
