Prof. M. Shafiqur Rahman, PhD
Adviser (Sampling and Statistical Analysis)- Gender Gap in Financial Inclusion in Bangladesh (GGiFI) Project, Centre for Research and Development (CRD) & Professor of Applied Statistics at the Institute of Statistical Research & Training, University of Dhaka. 
Professor Rahman completed BSc Honours and MSc in Statistics  from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He then completed 2nd MSc in Statistics from University of Nottingham, and PhD in Medical Statistics from Uinversity College London, UK. His research primarily focuses on development and applications of statistical methods for analyzing data in public health, social science and medical research. So far he published 36 research papers in peer re-viewed journals, few monograph, scientific reports, technical manuals and guided students for preparing their thesis and projects. In addition to teaching and research, Professor Rahman is involved with statistical consultancy services for various national and international organizations and experienced with designing study for survey research, field implementation, analyzing large-scale survey data, conducting training, coordinating and participating multi-sectoral research collaboration and scientific writing for technical report and journal publication. Moreover,  he is involved as PI and Co-PI of many research projects and as an associate editor and reviewer of many peer reviewed journals.
