Centre for Research and Development (CRD) is a development consulting firm established in 2017 by a group of academicians and development professionals. With an initial base in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the CRD aims for gradual expansion in South Asia and East Asia region. The CRD offers services around M&E system design, conducting research, assessment, evaluation and developing and facilitating tailor made training in the areas WASH, ICT4D, Inclusive Agriculture, DRR, Climate Change, Livelihood, Women Empowerment and Gender Equality.
The founder CEO- by training a development economist but later trained on inclusive development (from Netherlands/ Nuffic Scholar). He has more than 16 years’ global experience in leading development research and designing M&E system for development projects of INGOs in Bangladesh. He led research projects (in Bangladesh and India) funded by IDRC Canada, The Hunger Project- Netherlands, University of Liberal Arts of Bangladesh, IOM Bangladesh. Moreover, he also evaluated projects (in Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Kenya and Ghana) funded by European Commission, Save the Children, Asian Development Bank. He also conducted gender assessment of the projects funded by DFID, USAID and Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC). Moreover, one of the co-founders of the firm is a certified statistician and trained on international development (World Bank Scholar) from Brandeis University, USA. He also has wide range of M&E related experiences in south Asia region.
